Mr. Turbo
Animal assisted therapy involves animals as a collaborative component of therapy. We have found that animals help create a comfortable and non-threatening environment for clients.
Mr. Turbo is a trained dog who is able to participate in animal-assisted therapy (AAT) which is a creative form of therapy that utilizes therapy animals. He completed his training with Off Leash K9 Training Company with highest honors, and he hopes to use the skills he has learned to help Madison’s clients cope with emotional stress. Turbo was rescued, so he has the ability to relate to those who may feel abandoned, rejected, unloved, depressed, or anxious. Turbo’s main role in therapyis to provide clients with the option of having him close by to help alleviate stress, provide unconditional love and support, and put clients at ease. He understands that new places and people can often times be intimidating, so he is here to offer a way to break through these barriers that may hinder people from opening up in therapy. When Turbo is off-duty, he enjoys running at the beach, playing in the park, and long naps. He will also never turn down a good tummy scratch, and this is the fastest way to get to know him.
* Mr. Turbo works with Madison and is available 5 days a week including daytime and evening hours. Madison is located in our downtown Savannah office.
