Lisa Wiggins
Lisa Wiggins is a Licensed Professional Counselor with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University. She received her Masters of Public Health from Armstrong Atlantic State University and Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Lisa has over 20 years of experience working in Mental Health in a variety of settings including Intensive Outpatient Services, Young Adult Services, Residential and Day Services Programs. She is passionate about assisting children and young adults manage life transitions, solve problems, make decisions, resolve conflict, plan for their future, and manage crisis situations using Strength Based approaches.
Lisa is a skilled listener because she knows how important it is in establishing a level of trust and a good working relationship with her client. She believes her client is the expert of their own life and she is here to assist them with developing coping skills and using their strengths to get through those difficult times. In addition, Lisa specializes in working with all ages dealing with symptoms of ADHD, Anger Management, Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Bi-Polar, Mood Disorders, Addiction, Co-Occurring Disorders and more. Lisa believes that she can assist her clients in understanding that they can develop healthy ways of thinking and use their strengths to manage distressing thoughts and situations. She will be able to use the best approaches depending on her client’s unique circumstances. Lisa uses a number of clinical approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy.
